flock dynamicsstud rams

As we hope you can tell by our web site, we give equal importance to both our ewe flock and our stud rams. Therefore, our selection of bucks has focused both on making wethers and developing females that become productive members of our flock. Some of our best rams have left their legacy through their daughters.

Never before have we owned a stronger, more powerful group of rams... and never have we been more excited about breeding season! We feel the rams below are all very complete sheep, each contributing their own special strength. Two of the rams listed below are home bred and will be part of our linebreeding program. The others... well, they were just impossible to resist!

SICKELS 63

Corey first saw this ram at Duane's in early 2006. Knowing how much we liked him, Duane entered him in the 2006 Eastern Stud Ram Sale. He may not have won the show, but he sure got everyone's attention!

This ram is super long sided, big hipped, with a massive lower leg. He truly combines overall power with length and just enough style. It hasn't been since Mac Daddy and Virginia Ice that we have had a ram with this much mass AND muscle expression. As a matter of fact, this ram has a very similar pedigree to Mac Daddy on the bottom half.

SCOOBY
PICTURED AT 2 1/2 YEARS OLD

SCOOBY

This is a big, powerful, massive ram that is very three dimensional. He has the length of body, big top, and hip shape that we strive for plus a thick, deep leg. Scooby is as complete as they come.

Scooby's grandsire, Big Time, has sired numerous champions at the Mid West Stud Ram Sale and throughout the west coast for the Bianchi family. Big Time is sired by Cabaniss "Two" and is line bred back to the Miller Time ram, that has impacted the Cabaniss flock with both sons and daughters.

This is our second lamb crop out of Scooby and with each one we are more impressed. His lambs have been very consistent with an extra punch of muscle, nice rib shape, and yet more style than we expected. As a matter of fact, 4 of the 7 ewe lambs we kept back last year were sired by Scooby and 5 out of 10 this year were. We can't wait for his daughters to hit their prime!

KEOTA
KEOTA

SOLD 1/2 INTEREST

We lucked into Keota through J.D. Stucker. This ram, bred by Ted Greiner, is as complete as they come and has a pedigree as deep. Keota is extra long, jack fronted, big racked, very level out over his hip, and carries a full leg down low into the lower 1/3. Simply put, he is a fault free ram that can be used on just about any ewe!

His sire is Ted's top home bred ram, Rising Son, who is sired by Edge, the record selling ram bred by Nothdurft's. If that isn't deep enough... Edge is sired by Intense, the Cabaniss bred Supreme Champion ram that sold for $23,500 (a sale record) at the 2001 Mid-West Stud Ram Sale.

Keota's dam is sired by the Texas legend, Bodacious, who was bred by Harrell & Rhodes. Every Bodacious daughter in Ted's flock is super thick, big hipped, and made to be a market momma.

A special thank you to Ted Greiner for taking the time to show us his ewe flock and stud rams.

CHAOS

CHAOS

SOLD 1/2 INTEREST

Chaos is super thick, grooved topped, deep twisted ram, that handles harder than any other buck we own. His dam goes back to our old frame sheep and is one of the largest, most consistent club lamb momma's we own.

We look for Chaos to give us additional dimension of muscle and that super touch without giving up the length of hindsaddle we've worked so hard for.
